A TURKISH WEDDING

If you thought there was still animosity between Greece and Turkey, it’s time to think again. This Turkish Wedding Island C-Lounge Wedding was absolutely stunning. Modern couples like Isil and Erdem are proving to older generations that love conquers all and spreads across cultures. A loving Turkish couple who chose to have their wedding in neighboring Greece, Isil and Erdem traveled to Athens in September with their closest of family and friends.

THE MAGNIFICENT VIEW

The couple and their guests stayed in the heart of the Greek capital, at the iconic Electra Palace Hotel. Electra Palace Hotel’s strategic central location meant that the bride had a magnificent view of the Parthenon from her window as she was getting ready in her room for the big day. While the couple forwent tradition in favor of a civil ceremony, the wedding didn’t lack emotion – in fact, far from it. As Isil and Erdem signed the papers declaring them husband and wife in front of their two witnesses and guests, they both shed tears of happiness. The stylish groom, who was in a beige suit and wearing a bowtie, matched his bride’s vintage vibe, as she donned a short-sleeved dress with intricate details and small, discreet flowers in her hair.

ISLAND C-LOUNGE WEDDING RECEPTION

The wedding reception at the Island C-Lounge on the Athens Riviera was as classy as the couple: a long table for Islim, Erdem and their guests was placed on a terrace with jaw-dropping views of the Saronic Gulf. This scene set the stage for an out-of-this-world dinner, followed by a dancing celebration into the night. As an airplane flew above us over this idyllic setting, I thought about love crossing boundaries, which Islim and Erdem’s love of Greece was proof of. With that thought, I found myself thinking how grateful I was to be part of such a beautiful moment in this lovely couple’s life and this Turkish Wedding at Island C-Lounge also.
